Ronen Rubinstein may play a real-life hero on–screen but he is also doing his own heroic acts to save the planet. He currently plays Texas firefighter T.K. Strand amongst an ensemble of a beautifully diverse and amazing cast of actors. In the show, they deal with emergencies, fires, personal  challenges, chaotic situations, and do their best to save the day. And doing your best, even in your own small ways, can make a huge impact. Rubinstein has been using his platform, his social media, and his newfound audience from 9-1-1 to raise social awareness and inspire action to help save nature. Recently, he was able to raise more than $2,000 for Koala Come Back, an online campaign that helps raise funds for the protection and support of wildlife species and ecosystem devastated by the fires in Australia.

Ronen on his scenes with Rafael Silva:

“Our scenes together are my favorite scenes because there’s something in the air that you can almost feel.”
