Our internships are highly hands-on. We are providing you an opportunity and access to highly valuable editorial experience to help you develop a professional portfolio. You will gain experience working in a fast-paced environment and learn the production processes of a magazine. The tasks involve working for both digital and print versions of the magazine and you will report to our various editors.

General Requirements:

-Must be familiar with MS Office Programs & other organizational apps

-Must be updated about current events in fashion, entertainment, arts & culture

-Familiar with IMDB, Rotten Tomatoes, The Hollywood Reporter, The Wrap, Le Book, FTape, Models.com etc

JOURNALISM INTERNSHIP

This is for someone who is looking to develop a professional portfolio in writing and working for a fast-paced creative environment.

-Research and data gathering for new contents for the site

-Updating social media assets (facebook, instagram, twitter) and writing engaging copies

-Proofreading

-Working with editors

-Writing short articles online

-Potential to interview people

-Transcribing interviews

-Pitching stories for print and online


GRAPHICS DESIGN INTERNSHIP

This is for someone who is looking to develop a professional portfolio in Graphics Design and working for a fast-paced creative environment.

-Research and data gathering for new contents for the site

-Updating social media assets (facebook, instagram, twitter) in a timely manner

-Pitch design ideas for online and print contents

-Must be familiar with Adobe Creative Suite

-Production of Newsletter

-Keen and sensitive on deadlines

-Create graphics layouts and placement of assets for online and print

-Creation of GIF and moving images


EDITORIAL INTERNSHIP

This is for someone who is looking to develop a professional portfolio as a producer/part of an editorial team and working for a fast-paced creative environment.

-Hands-on in producing shoots and organizing interviews

-Liasing with publicists, agents, managers, writers, and creative teams

-Location Scouting

-Organizing schedules

-Work closely with editors

-Pitch ideas to team

-Must be able to represent A BOOK OF in events

-Keen and sensitive to deadlines


MARKETING INTERNSHIP

-Must have a minimum of 2 years sales experience (Media Sales Preferred: radio/social/digital/print/out of home) and a proven track record of success

-Understanding of the commercial advertising environment and how it relates to selling ad space in the online magazine.

-Working knowledge of the digital landscape as it pertains to website advertising and mobile app.

‪-Understanding of the high-end market

-Proven track record of strong prospecting, qualifying, phone and closing skills

-Strong problem solving skills, organizational skills, business acumen, highly motivated to win and tireless work intensity

-Has a history of creating new selling opportunities, cold calling and developing relationships.

-Demonstrates a high level of ambition and drive with a strong need to win.

-Clearly goal and results oriented, fueled by a challenge and enjoys the pressures of a deadline-oriented business.

-Demonstrated success with creating custom, integrated campaigns

-Strong oral and written communication skills required

-High school diploma or equivalent required (college degree preferred)

-Coordinate campaign strategies and tactics closely with platform partners

-Represent A BOOK OF with a high level of integrity and knowledge and act as a resource for all clients and agencies.

-Monitoring of daily reporting statistics for accuracy

-Recommending changes to existing products, policies, and processes that improve overall performance

-Build revenues in sales and event sponsorships.

-Manage follow-up process including ad materials and monthly proofing of magazine.

-Ensure customer ad placements are executed flawlessly.

-Prepare monthly sales forecasts.

-Maintain a strong focus on continuously meeting and exceeding sales goals on a monthly basis

-Build and manage sales for our digital and print options.

-Develop a working knowledge of the markets we serve.

-Achieve and beat monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.

-Creating ad booking forms for all clients

-Lots of follow up calls and emails during each deadline

-Must be able to create ‪urgency

-Encouraging contracts for all advertisers.

-Contract negotiation for new contracts.

-Resolving client issues as they arise.

-Cross promoting different services to all new clients.

-Delivering exceptional customer service to all clients.
