Following international recognition for his collection Who Kills My Freedom?, Isaac Yu continues to expand his surreal fashion universe through the collaborative project Freedom Playground, created alongside Atlanta-based set designer Londynn Cardea.
Set within an imagined bamboo forest, Freedom Playground transforms menswear into an immersive fantasy world where childhood innocence collides with contemporary streetwear. Featuring reinterpreted signature looks from Who Kills My Freedom?, the project explores modern masculinity through exaggerated silhouettes, playful styling, and dreamlike scenery. The environment juxtaposes urban fashion with a raw, natural landscape, creating a visual dialogue between freedom, nostalgia, and self-expression.
Through this collaboration, Yu and Cardea envision a symbolic escape from today’s digitally saturated world. By placing experimental streetwear within a pure and organic setting, Freedom Playground reimagines freedom as a return to imagination, innocence, and emotional authenticity.
