Tell us a little about your story. Who is Corey Fogelmanis?

I’m 18. I don’t know who I am, honestly. This is dramatic but I’ll let you know when I figure it out.

How did acting start for you?

I started acting on stage when I was six. The first thing I ever did was a cabaret type thing, where everyone that auditioned got in and the whole premise of the show was just singing songs. I did that for a few years until I discovered community theatre.

Where do you draw your inspiration for acting?

From watching good movies.

What was it like to film the last episode of Girl Meets World?

It was fun. The last season was my favorite to shoot out of all three. I feel like (as a cast) we were all so in tune with each other and were getting into a nice groove so it was nice to recognize that this adventure was coming to an end and then be able to make the most of it.

How has being on the show changed your life/career?

I’m not sure I can even iterate all the ways it changed my life. But I think the best thing to come out of it was the safe place it provided me with to learn-- to figure out what kind of actor I am (although I’m still figuring that out) and what kind of person I am and it surrounded me with really talented, passionate people to work with and learn from. And I think from that, there’s a groundwork that I can carry with me for the rest of my life and career.

How has being on the show changed your life/career?

The moments where everything got too much and we all kind of went through it together were the most memorable. It hurts less to cry when everyone else is doing it! But seriously, I love the family that we were able to create on set and I’m really glad we all went through it together.

Your character, Jasper from “Prank Me” is the complete opposite of the role you play as Farkle. How was it playing such an intense and dark character and is there any preference in the type of role and genre you play?

Playing a character like Jasper was such a great time. Like you said, the intensity and darkness of the character was something that I haven’t done in any of my work professionally or was even aware that I was capable of, so there was an exciting period of exploration that came along with playing him. I don’t have a specific genre or type of role that I prefer at the moment; the big things that excite me about a project are the challenges and room for growth that it entails.

Is there any actor (dead or alive) that you dream to work with?

Annette Bening has been a recent fascination of mine. I haven’t seen much of her work but I absolutely love her in 20th Century Women. She seems like a brilliant person to play off of and I feel like I could learn so much from watching her work.

Besides acting, what else do you enjoy doing?

Going to the movies or the theatre.

What is your dream project?

One of my favorite musicals is Dogfight. I just recently saw it again and it rekindled my love for the show. Playing Eddie in that at some point would be really awesome.

Any exciting projects coming up for you that we can look forward to?

I shot a movie back in February that should be coming out soon. Not sure on an exact release date but will keep you updated!

Any advice that you can give to any young and aspiring actors?

Watch movies and theatre and learn from it. And then throw it all away and trust yourself.

What’s your guilty pleasure?

Doing nothing. Is that an answer??

If you’re going to have a book, what title would it be?

Oh jeez. It would probably be something like “who thought this was a good idea?”

If you had the chance to support any charity/organization/person, what/who would it be and why?

I would donate to animal rescues. I need to further inform myself on the animal advocacy scene and all of the specific charities, but it could be anything from dogs to elephants.
