the quality or state of being liquescent

being or tending to become liquid

how many things are we?

do we tend to become—

floating, swimming, holding our breath

coming up short, gasping for air

nosediving into the deep blue abyss

searching for something to connect to

identify with and become

who am i?

not sure of the questions intention

set free or limit

self-imposed mostly

I must be a part of a community

or I might get lost at sea

toss me a raft, I’ll hang on tight

tension pushes, just remain light

allow the current to carry away

close your eyes,

feel the sensation

washing over every sense

muting sound, muting noise

no need to act, or dress

like one of the boys
