Hi Jack! What’s your story?

My name is Jack Holden Marsden, I am 16 years old, turning 17 on February 1st.

I grew up and still live in a city in LA called Burbank. In Burbank I live in a “little town” called Toluca lake. I say little town because the main road up ahead from my house has lots of diners and stores, which remind me of a “little town.” Ever since I was 5 years old, I’ve been emotionally connected with music, and still to this day; It’s my escape.

When and how did modeling start for you?

I started modeling about 5 months ago. What really got me started and interested in modeling was my unique sense of style. Ever since I was young (probably younger than 5) I was already wearing some weird stuff, not caring at all. Over the years I’ve become more interested in fashion, which lead me to want to model.

Do you remember your first ever casting / audition?

My very first casting was actually 2 weeks ago, surprisingly! It was with Hollister, and I remember not rehearsing anything before the casting. I just walked in and was by myself and no one else.

What is your most memorable experience in modeling so far?

My most memorable experience in modeling so far was probably the Hollister casting. It was super interesting and shocking to me because they had reached out to me. I’m still just a teen and still so new to this, so the fact that a very well-known brand reached out to me, felt really good.

If you can describe your own sense of style in a song which one would it be and why?

I would describe my sense of style in any song by xxxtentacion. The reason is that because his genre of music is so diverse and is always changing, and I have no doubt, my sense of style always changes.

Are you into the arts? What types of arts are you into?

I am into the arts, especially music. But to me anything that anyone has a strong passion for something that changed them emotionally mentally or physically is an ART. So I guess I could say I’m into a lot of arts.

I remember you mentioned from our conversation that one of the wonderful powers of ART is to make someone feel less alone. How would you attest to that?

I say that any form of art to anyone can accompany them. Or even anything you have a passion for can keep your mind from getting lost. Because I’ve felt a lot of different feelings, music has always been my go-to. I still get too far in my head sometimes and I cut off from some people, but music helps me more than a lot of things to get me back.

What else do you do aside from modeling?

Aside from modeling I write, play, record and produce music. I’ve been playing the drums since I was 5 years old, and only a couple years ago started playing guitar and piano on the side. My special talent when it comes to music is that I’m able to teach myself the basics of an instrument, all by ear. But if it wasn’t for my dad, I wouldn’t have known how to get myself started. Shoutout to dad! I also love video games, hanging with friends, anything a teen would be into. I also just started boxing with a trainer every Monday after school. It keeps me up and focused and restores my confidence.

How do you stay fit?

I stay fit by boxing, weight training in school, and just staying active at home or with friends. I don’t gain much weight, so I try hard to get bigger.

What do you think is the proudest moment of your career so far?

I think the proudest moment of my career so far is just being humble. I see that a lot of people, mainly my age, get carried away with their career, or talent, or something that can give you a right to brag about. So I’m glad that even though I’m just getting started, I’m staying humble.

Dream Project.

Dream project is to work with my favorite artist of that time. Can’t put a pin on who it would be because my interest always change.

Top 3 music in your playlist right now.

Top 3 favorite songs right now are “I think you’re alright” by Jay Som,

“ILoveYourAunt” by Ski mask the Slump God X ASAP Ferg, and “I crash, u crash” by Lil

Peep w/ lil tracy. I have way too many favorites, so it’s hard to rank these.

Top 3 movies ever:

Treasure Planet, Moonlight, and Friday. Again, way too many to choose for top 3.

How do you balance your time?

Balancing my time just comes natural for me I guess. I’ve always been good at multitasking and doing things simultaneously, so balancing my time hasn’t been an issue yet!

What do you usually do for fun?

For fun I hang with friends, make music, and play video games and thrift shop. Swear down you can find some good stuff in thrift stores.

Name one person that you dream to work with.

I dream to work with Lil Peep. My girlfriend had introduced his music to me, and after listening to his songs, I became hooked on him. He changed a part of my life when I was thinking too much, and feeling a bit lonely. He made me really realize that I’m not alone. No one’s alone, that’s a fact.

Any advice you can give to any aspiring young artist/model out there?

My advice to you is to always be yourself. I know it sounds super repetitive and cliché, but trust me. I don’t know who to be because people put me down often, and I take it personally. But the truth is, people are going to want to be like you. And when they get jealous, they get mad and hate on you. I still have trouble being myself. So I want to see someone coming up, take that advice and be their self.

If you’re a book, what type of book are you and why?

If I were a book, I would be either a non-fiction novel or an autobiography mainly because I like books with a real life scenario as the theme. I connect more with those types of books.

If you will be given the chance and opportunity to help a specific charity, what would it be and why?

The charity I would like to help would be to MHA (Mental Health America), because I know people close to me who have some type of mental health disorder, and I want to be able to contribute to them, and everyone else who does have a mental disorder.
