FAQ

What kind of submissions does A BOOK OF publish and look for?

The goal of A BOOK OF is to feature, publish and share a wide array of talents. We aim to inspire but also encourage people universally to make the world a better place through Art. We accept and curate photography, photo essays, photography portfolios, poetry, interviews, artist features, personal essays, short stories, poetry, fiction, non-fiction, short film, illustration, paintings, fashion editorials, etc.

Our target market is global so the content that we curate must have a timeless element to it- devoid of any reins from trends, news and current events.

Editing

It would be awesome if you can have your work reviewed by someone else prior to submission. This will help us both save time. If your submission is accepted, we will still work on it to revise and edit your piece to its final state as we deem fit for the publication.

PRINT-ON-DEMAND ISSUES

Published stories online will be collected as a part of a curated Print-on-demand book. Print-On-Demand Issues will be released and purchased via Issuu, Magcloud, and Peecho.

Sales of the Print-on-demand issues will be donated to the Portraits of Hope Project

QUARTERLY ART BOOK

A limited edition collectible Art Book (that will be distributed worldwide) will be released quarterly in A book Form. Contents of the book are commissioned and curated based on the specific theme of the issue. Each issue will have a theme that supports a specific cause, charity or institution.

COMPENSATION

At this point, A BOOK is run independently so until further notice, all contributors remain unpaid until we meet certain advertising revenue levels and also until production costs are met.

REJECTION

At the moment, we won’t be able to provide individual responses to every contributor. If you are accepted for consideration we will notify you within 2-4 weeks. Generally, if you haven’t heard from us in 8-10 weeks, we are likely unable to publish your work.

DEADLINE

For online and Print-on-demand issues, we accept submissions all year round.

For the Collectible Art Book Issues, a submission call and deadline will be posted as soon as we start things rolling.
