WHO IS JANIS OSTOJIC IN THE EYES OF HIS FAMILY AND FRIENDS?
They see me as a very dedicated person who pushes his limits as high as his dreams go. There is always room for improvement. Besides that I'm a VERY happy person whose smile makes other people laugh. Very positive, disciplined and respectful.
DID YOU INITIALLY INTEND TO BECOME A MODEL?
Well, I can’t be sure about that because I grew up with both of my parents modeling so I myself became a model at a very young age. What I can be sure of is that I was never forced or pushed to do anything I didn’t want to do! I wanted it all by myself.
IS THERE A LOT MORE PRESSURE ON YOU TO DO WELL IN THIS INDUSTRY HAVING FAMOUS MODEL PARENTS?
I just don’t want to disappoint them. I pulled them across the world doing what I love to do. They have followed me and supported me all the way through. So yes, it might have some impact.
TELL US MORE ABOUT THE SHOW, “GROWING UP SUPERMODEL.”
It’s about children who grew up with famous parents in the entertainment industry (modeling/acting/tv shows). We might have famous parents but that doesn’t make it easy to become a supermodel. It takes a lot more than a name.
HOW WAS IT WORKING WITH OTHER SONS AND DAUGHTERS OF SUPERMODELS?
It was really fun and interesting to see how each model interacts with their family. It was fascinating to see different families perspective on the industry, while at the same time different dynamics as a family.
WHAT’S YOUR MOST MEMORABLE EXPERIENCE IN MODELING SO FAR?
Moving to the USA with my family to try building up my career.
WHAT INSPIRES YOU?
Not what, but who... my Mom and Dad.
ASIDE FROM MODELING, WHAT KEEPS YOU BUSY?
I go to the gym very often. I'm also working on an accessory line for men and women. My website is almost up and I'm taking acting classes right now. I have been focusing towards my career a lot lately.
HOW OFTEN DO YOU WORKOUT TO MAINTAIN YOUR PHYSIQUE?
I lift weights 5 times a week and along with that, I try to do 3/4 interval cardio sessions that are 25 minutes long.
BEST WORKOUT/DIET/HEALTH TIPS?
Don’t eat sugars, fast food and carbs. Do eat fruits, good fats, protein and vegetables instead.
WHAT’S YOUR GUILTY PLEASURE?
HALF-BAKED CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES!!!
HOW DO YOU THINK YOU CAN STAY RELEVANT IN THE CURRENT INDUSTRY?
Just be yourself and get the best of you out there. That’s what you want people to look for.
